I got a phone call from Sarah and she said that she was in the war zone. Sarah said that she was taken out by a color guard member and her flag pole during rehearsal.
All of a sudden I was hit in the face and I felt some pain in my lip said Sarah. It really hurt and I moved off the field and I had blood all over myself.
In the end Sarah had a cut lip and it bleed pretty bad for awhile before slowing down. Sarah had to take a day or two off from playing the trumpet so the lip would heal but she was still out there doing the drill and other requirements.
